The dedication ceremony for Covington Community Playground takes place on Tuesday, October 16th. One of the innovative play structures to be unveiled is a KOMPAN castle. It’s the first of its kind in the United States, and is made of natural Robinia wood, which aligns with the park’s mission of being environmentally friendly. 

Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan continues the execution her long-term plan of renovating parks in every neighborhood with an improvement plan for Madison Avenue Park.  Playground manufacturer KOMPAN will help facilitate this renovation with a $100,000 donation of new playground equipment.

The ribbon cutting ceremony for Flag Pole Hill Park Playground was a great success. With the community watching, members of the Spieth Family Foundation (including Jordan Spieth), City of Dallas, the Lake Highlands women's League, the Lake Highlands Exchange Club, For the Love of the Lake, and KOMPAN officially opened the playground for everyone to enjoy.

Located in Little Italy of Willmington, Delaware, the 20,000 sq. ft. park has experienced a great revitalization effort thanks to neighborhood volunteers. Forming “Friends of Father Tucker Park”, volunteers sought input from local kids, parents, and teachers for the overall design of the park. After coming up with different ideas, the final designs were put to a vote. Teaming up with KOMPAN, decisions were then made to determine the best fit for the park, and location of all play structures.

After a 2015 study listed Albany, New York as one of the worst cities in the nation for providing equitable neighborhood opportunities for the healthy development of Hispanic and black children, Mayor Kathy Sheehan and Commissioner of Recreation, Youth & Workforce, Jonathan Jones, partnered to make some changes. 

The grand opening of KOMPAN's U.S. Headquarters will take place on Thursday, August 23, 2018, as an introduction to the new facility in Austin, Texas. KOMPAN's CEO and board members from Denmark will be in attendance.

KOMPAN announced the winners of the Matched Funding Grant campaign. KOMPAN’s first “Let’s Play for $50K!” campaign aimed to help communities and schools in need of an innovative, inclusive play space or interactive fitness area. 

The Boyd Hill Nature Preserve recently added a new playground on its grounds. It's the' first first-of-its-kind' in the area, and is made of Robinia wood. 

After sustaining damage from Hurricane Irma, and experiencing some delays, the first phase of a two-decade project will soon be underway. This phase includes the opening of an innovative playground on the 209-acre Tucker Ranch. 

Huff Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan recently opened again with new updates and features. Included in those updates is a new boardwalk, and all natural Robinia playground.
