Why would I want to be a part of the NPP contract?

The publicly awarded contract permits purchases of product at national tier pricing without the time and expense of issuing an RFP. The advantage of participating with NPP is that it provides the most favorable public agency pricing and hosts a broad range of high-quality products.

How does the NPP contract allow local governments to bypass the bid process?
The lead agency (LOC) Request for Proposal (RFP) and resulting Master Price Agreement (MPA) contain piggy-backing language that permits all NPP members that execute an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with LOC to purchase off the MPA. Most jurisdictions have laws that permit such piggy-backing so long as sufficient language is contained in the published RFP. For example, see RCW 39.34.030(5)(b).

How do I receive the benefits of the NPP contract?
To get started, contact the NPP by going to www.mynpp.com to register. Once registration is complete, NPP will guide you through the IGA process and assist with access to the contract terms and pricing. Once the IGA is signed and your local legal counsel is satisfied with the legality of the process, you may place orders directly with KOMPAN in care of your KOMPAN servicing dealer.

- Download the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA).

- Verify that the agreement complies with your agency purchasing requirements.

- Sign and return the agreement to NPP:
